How to Play Sic Bo

Similar to roulette you can bet on any type of die combination. There are also bets of 2 of a kind and 3 of kind, you can choose to bet on any combination that you like and the most uncommon combinations will get paid with the highest returns.

There are seven different types of bets in Sic Bo:

Name Description Odds
Dice Face Bet that any one of the 6 dice sides will show 1/1
If two of the dice show the selected number 2/1
If all three di show the selected number 3/1
Two Faces Bet that a combination of the numbers will appear 5/1
Totals

Bet on the combination of all three dice (a number between 4-17). Since the number of combination faces that can result varies so does the payout.

Total Payout House
4 or 17 60:1 29.1%
5 or 16 18:1 47.2%
6 or 15 14:1 30.5%
7 or 14 12:1 9.7%
8 or 13 8:1 12.5%
9 or 12 6:1 18.9%
10 or 11 6:1 12.5%

Small or Big Bet that the total of the three dice will fall in between with ‘small’ 4-10 or ‘big’ between 11-17 3%
Triple Bet that three faces will come up with the one specific number 150/1
Any Triple Bet that all three faces will be the same 35/1
Any Pair Bet that any pair come up 8/1

Playing good strategy in Sic Bo means learning which bets are the good ones and which are the bad ones (and to stay away from them!). Generally the good bets offer you the best chance of winning (but offer lower odds) but at least you are winning more often. This means you may have to stick with the bets that pay even or a bit more than even as oppose to going for the bigger payout bets on the table. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t other strategies to play that are more risky but still offer a decent return. Therefore the two types of strategy we will focus on for Sic Bo is the low risk strategy and high risk strategy.

Low Risk – Playing this strategy means you bet more towards the lower odd bets like Small and Big. These bets offer a lower house edge but this means that you can win more often. You can also choose to play combination bets too if you want to use this strategy.

High Risk – Playing high risk means you can go for the bigger bets like 10 or 11. We still recommend you for the most part, stay away from the super high risk bets like Triple or Any Triple. The bets like 10 and 11 are the lower paying of the high risk bets but still offer you good odds. 10 and 11 represent and good bet because, with the three dice, these two numbers have a higher chance of being rolled as opposed to numbers like 4 and 17 that only can come up using one possible combination (i.e. 1, 1, and 2).
